"Don’t go to Eden Garden Hotel Not very clean. Staff is very unpleasant (which is so rare in Sri Lanka!!) If you come the day when the boss has his birthday party you couldn’t sleep (we have done this experience!). We slept 3 nights there and they wouldn’t offer anything to make up for this sleepless night. Food isn’t good.... "
"We paid about 60 USD per night for what is essentially a backpacker hotel -- there's no hot water and no daily room cleaning. The prices for laundry are exorbitant -- more than my wash-and-fold place in New York charges. Food and drinks are also way over market rates and there are not many other places to eat within walking... "
